The Math curriculum offers students the opportunity to experience real-world applications, hands-on labs and interdisciplinary investigations. All students will be actively engaged in developing mathematical understandings in real and relevant contexts.

To further enhance the mathematical education, Freedom Middle School has partnered with Pearson Company’s America’s Choice Program. Select students will take part in Math Navigator, a program designed to to deepen their understanding and strengthen their mathematical performance.
Our Math curriculum is supported by the text book, The Carnegie Learning Middle School Math Common Core Course. This math series is a Common Core Georgia Performance Course for all 3 grade levels. This series of textbooks is designed to motivate and engage students to develop a deeper understanding of mathematics and to provide with the necessary tools for success in the future.
Freedom Middle School also offers accelerated math courses. Students successful in the accelerated math courses will leave FMS with a high school credit upon entering high school, having completed 9th grade Math.
