FMS Media Center is the center of all learning and information. We strive to prepare our students for college and career readiness through use of information literacy and technology instruction. Our library collection encompasses 14,000 print and digital resources aligned with curriculum requirements to enhance the learning experience at Freedom Middle School.
An emphasis on literacy and improving fluency and comprehension is a priority effort. Our library media program offers a variety of activities to promote reading and lifelong learning. Students are recognized for their reading and completion of book summary card for reading comprehension. A sample of the book summary cards is located in the student's agenda planner. Our library media staff brings awareness to Lexile measure and allows students to track the books read within their Lexile range.
