  • Report cards for 1st Semester were issued Monday, January 11th.
  • The Honor's Day program is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th at 2:30 p.m. If your student received an invitation, please come and help us support our Honor Students. 
  • There will be no school on Monday, January 18th, as we observe Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. 
  • ACCESS testing for ESOL students will begin on Tuesday, January 19th. 
  • It is important that students wear their uniforms each day to school. Uniform shirts should be collared polo or button down shirts in yellow, white, or green. Pants or skirts should be khaki, navy blue, or black.

Math, Math, Math!!!

Through Title 1, FMS will have having math help sessions called "Math Mornings" in the Parent Center. 

This is a time for you and your child to come in and get help with your student's homework and classwork. If your child is struggling with math, and you are struggling to help them, this is the meeting for you!

All meetings take place at 8:00 a.m. in the Parent Center! Bring your child with you!
Mondays: October 19th, October 26th, November 2nd, November 9th, and November 16th.
Thursdays: October 22nd, October 29th, November 5th, November 12th, November 19th.
Fridays: October 23rd, October 30th, November 6th, November 13th, November 20th. 

We will also have a Title 1 Middle School Math Workshop on October 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents to learn all about middle school math.

And parents - we have math homework for you too! Your parent homework is due Friday, October 30th! One correct answer will be randomly selected to win a gift card for the parent and 2 Ram Bucks for their student. If your child didn't bring your homework to you, you can download a copy here

Remember - every time you attend a school meeting or turn in your homework you earn MVP (Most Valuable Parent) points for your child.    

Conference night is Thursday, October 22nd from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. To schedule a conference, please call the Counseling office at 678-874-8702.
Building Spaces Community Input Meeting

The DeKalb County School District is holding five (5) regional public input meetings, to discuss and gather information related to its Master Planning of the ESPLOST V program.  

There is a lot going on at Fantastic Freedom!
  • There will be no school on Friday, October 9th, and Monday, October 12th.
  • Picture day is Thursday, October 8th. Students should wear their uniforms.

  • The first 9 week grading period ends October 8th. Report cards will go home October 15th. Please check the parent portal for more information about your child's grades. If you have concerns, contact the counseling office to schedule a conference. 

Please make sure students wear their uniforms every day!
